"The amount of progress that Simon has made over the past year is enormous. He has gone from being barely able to read to reading at a solid first grade level. The individualized attention and lesson plans have made a huge difference. If Simon needed an extra week to review the concepts, he was able to continue at his own pace. Our clinician, Scott, has developed a great rapport with Simon and is an excellent teacher. He has given me, as the parent, lots of practical suggestions on how to incorporate reading activites into our homeschooling day. Most importantly, Simon has gone from dreading reading to enjoying reading on his own. The highlight of the past year, was when Simon read a simple version of "Treasure Island" by himself. The joy on his face was priceless. I was also delighted a few weeks a go, when Simon left me a note and was able to spell his message correctly. Last year, at this time, I was very discouraged about Simon's reading skills, but now I feel more hopeful than ever. It has been exciting to see his reading skills strengthen and his love of reading grow. I cannot recommend Lexercise enough to all who are considering it. It was truly the best educational decision I've ever made for my son and is time and money well spent."

"She was very discouraged about her reading and feeling like she wasn't very smart because of it. Now I see her attitude has completely changed and she is [attempting] reading independently more often. Also, I have seen improvement after just one month with her tutor. "

"… we are able to work from home and there is flexibility to when she does her daily practice. Plus the games are very enjoyable."

"Tori has been amazingly helpful to [my daughter]. She's a very intuitive teacher! We have seen incredible progress over the last few months - especially in her word retrieval abilities. Her verbal fluency and vocabulary are increasing in leaps and bounds. A few months back there were long pauses to retrieve even the most basic language. Now she routinely utilizes both basic and high level vocabulary without any pauses. It's truly amazing. [My daughter] describes it like this: "My brain used to have all of these words in folders but the folders were a mess and now they're all organized". :-) .....Brings me to (happy) tears almost daily. What a tremendous relief it is for her and for us."

"My kids just took the entrance exams to get into a private school and passed on grade level! This is a real accomplishment! The kids really liked working with their teacher and played their games with no arguments every single day, even on holidays, without complaint. I'm grateful for the therapy and believe it was entirely worth the investment of time and money."

"Our clinical educator, Tori, was very helpful and worked closely with me to determine the best plan for my fourth grade son. We did the initial free screening and then went on to do the full evaluation which confirmed that my son was dyslexic. I have been speaking with his teachers about the possibility of him being dyslexic for the last three years and none of his teachers thought it was possible so the official evaluation was the first time my suspicion was confirmed. I had already done a lot of research and was helping him on my own. While discussing the evaluation with Tori, first of all it was great to have her recommend doing many of the things I was already doing with him. Because of the work I had done, he was at a good place compared to where he might have been. Tori basically congratulated me for focusing on the best activities and said I could just continue with that plan. I wanted her to work with him though, knowing that she was the expert and hoping she would bring more experience and knowledge to his sessions. I am so glad we worked with her. We just finished the program last week after only three months. She was able to walk him through things with much better explanations than I could. The game practice each week solidified the things he learned in his sessions with her. At first it seemed like there wasn't much change, but by the end of the three months I can say that he is reading more quickly than ever and his spelling has improved dramatically! Tori also recommended a few books and other programs so that he can continue to practice what he learned at higher levels. Lexercise was worth every penny. I have a much younger child who seems to be showing some of the same signs of dyslexia and if the evaluation shows him to be dyslexic as well, we will put him in the program as well. I highly recommend doing the full evaluation and the program if your results from the free screening indicate a possible problem. You won't regret improving your child's reading, spelling, and confidence."

"If you live in a rural area, as we do, without access to a properly trained therapist, I HIGHLY recommend this. I love that we can do our therapy "from home." Additionally, my son is both gifted and dyslexic, and so we opted not to get services from the school. Our therapist has geared our lessons to my son's pace/level. We would easily spend $400/month on face to face lessons, that wouldn't include gas or daily practice."

"We are involved with a lot of Therapist due to being foster parents, so at first I was very hesitant of the online approach. How can that really work, there's no tangible learning. I didn't want it to just be games she played that would mask the problem. But we went ahead and tried the pretest. She did amazing, read so many of the words. Our first thought was we were making up the issues we thought were there. Then at the end the results said she was reading at a mid-kindergarten level, almost 2 grade levels behind. That didn't seem right so we tested our older child who is an avid reader, we figured she would test low too and it would debunk the whole program. Well she didn't! She tested amazing! We still weren't convinced so we let it go for about a month; I decided to revisit the site after reading about the program again on one of my favorite blogs. We retook the pretest to see what would happen; I figured I'd get different results but I didn’t. She tested the same, so we decided to take the plunge and have the evaluation. Our clinician was great, super friendly and really in tune to what was going on. The evaluation gave us the results we had always known, we had Dyslexia. We met with our clinician over Skype for the next four weeks for an hour at a time. On the off days we played our games, which weren't like ordinary games. At the end of it all I wondered in the back of my mind, did it really help, was it really worth it. Then the unimaginable happened, my DD asked to read a chapter book. A month ago that was the worst thing in the world to her, having to read something that big! The next change I seen was when we on vacation the following week and she would randomly stop and yell "Hey mom I read that!" I would randomly see her using her decoding skills she had learned to read things instead of asking what it said. For me this was all wonderful, but the determining factor “was it all worth it” was when we got home. We had set her up with a program our clinician suggested to help her read independently. At first she didn’t want to sit and read, everyone else was playing, but I asked if she would try just one book. Well that turned into 2 other books and most of a chapter book, honestly I sobbed like a big baby. If you have a struggling reader you know what it’s like to feel the overwhelming feeling of seeing your child struggle with something you can’t help them with. We choose Lexercise to help our DD gain more skills to overcome the things she struggles with, that just maybe reading would become a little easier. What we have gained is something I never imagined would be possible. In just one session Lexercise has put a hope and love for reading in my daughter’s heart!"

"The change I've noticed...is his ability to isolate sounds in words. We have been struggling with this for the past 3 years, and within about 3 weeks of Lexercise, I could see an immediate difference. His spelling is getting better, as is his ability to sound out individual words."

- Connie Williams, Speech-Language Pathologist, Guilford County Schools

"It gives that consistent, daily, solid and not-too-cumbersome practice that children need to overcome their challenges."

- Anonymous Mom

"She has gained more confidence with reading. [Her] scores on daily papers have improved greatly-- in every subject. Her teacher has made a point to tell me that she notices a difference, too."

"[The online games] are fast and easy for my daughter to find by herself. She is starting to do them on her own without me reminding her."

- Patti Bradley, Greensboro, GA

"He [has] become a fluent reader."

"I think the consistency allows reprogramming of the mind to occur."

"It is not intimidating at all to him, and now that he is seeing progress in himself he is very excited to "try" again..."

"[Lexercise] makes my life soooo much easier..... I LOVE IT! It feels as though we are sitting together doing our therapy session in the same room and I don't have to get everyone up and out of the house etc..."

- Anonymous Mom

"It gives her [something] to do and learn on her own. She really gets huge benefit from the repetition of the program. The games make it fun and unique for her to have as her own homework."

- Melissa Willeford, Greensboro, NC

"Obviously my son has quite the deficit but he is now engaged again, and trying harder than before... I think he was soo discouraged with himself that he was [beginning] to give up and now instead he is "reading" everything... He even takes Harry Potter books to bed with himself and [tries] to read the words he can find that he recognizes!!! IT IS SO exciting to see that joy for learning starting to come back again... I know we have a long way to go but it is very encouraging to see the little progress that we've made so far!"

- Anonymous Mom

"Convenience of doing it from our home and not traveling to an office. Personal one on one sessions for my sons, but also immediate feedback with [our clinician] and areas to work on for the week. I love being able to work Lexercise into our schedule and not having to work our schedule around Lexercise."

- Anonymous Mom

"My boys always remember to do their practices. In fact it is usually the first thing they want to do during our school day. The repetition and introduction of new sounds and words are at a pace that my sons set. This allows them to feel accomplished but challenge at the same time. Which is awesome when learning can so often feel frustrating."
